On June 27, 2017, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. filed two new trademarks, Apex of the Seas and Joy of the Seas, that appear to be ship names. This comes just days after they filed the trademark for Spectrum of the Seas.
Like Spectrum of the Seas, these trademarks had been filed by Royal Caribbean in September of 2014, but were abandoned a year later on September 14, 2015.
Royal Caribbean has not announced any plans with these trademarks at this time. The line currently has six ships on order/currently under construction. However, two of the ships already have names associated with them, Symphony of the Seas and Icon of the Seas.
As I was searching for Apex and Joy of the Seas on the trademark website, I came across three more possible ship names. The trademarks were filed on June 28, 2017, and include Emblem of the Seas, Passion of the Seas, and Pulse of the Seas.
Once again, Royal Caribbean has not made any announcements about names for their future ships.
