Royal Caribbean Tests New Beverage Package

On July 7, 2017, Royal Caribbean implemented a new beverage package policy for select sailings on-board the Harmony of the Seas.

The new policy states that all passengers 21 and over must purchase a beverage package, if at least one person in their cabin has purchased one.

The pilot program will be tested on eight sailings on-board Harmony, ranging from September 30, 2017, through November 18, 2017. ┬áThe new policy comes as a counter-reaction to too many guests buying drinks for other people, who don’t have the drink package.

A spokesperson from Royal Caribbean confirmed the new policy will be tested on Harmony of the Seas, but added, “At this time, we do not have plans to roll it out to any other ships.”

When Royal Caribbean first introduced beverage packages, they included the same policy where if one adult has it, all others must have it too. They then dropped shortly after introducing it.
