Norwegian to Call Ship Norwegian Encore

On January 31, 2018, Andy Stuart, Norwegian’s president, revealed at the Meyer-Werft shipyard that NCL’s next ship will be called the Norwegian Encore. Norwegian Cruise Line officially cut the first piece of steel yesterday at a ceremony attended by hull artist Wyland and Meyer-Werft Managing Director, Tim Meyer.

The Norwegian Encore will be their fourth Breakaway Plus class. She is set to debut in May of 2019. Encore will feature water slides, go-kart tracks, and waterfront restaurants. She will sail from Miami and carry 4,000 passengers.
