Day 4- Norwegian Jade Live Blog April 12, 2017- Costa Maya, Mexico

Today we are in Costa Maya, Mexico! We booked a reservation at another beach kind of like Nachi Cocom. It’s called Maya Can Beach.

I got up early this morning to upload my pictures to my website, so that I wouldn’t have the same problem as yesterday. After I finished my blog, I went to eat in the Garden Cafe. I had pancakes, sausage, and hash browns. It was all very good.

We got off the ship at around 9:30. We were in port with Rhapsody of the Seas today, so we stopped to take our usual pictures. After pictures, we headed to go find a taxi.

Our taxi ride was crazy. The roads were really bumpy, and there are no lines on the road so people just drove all over. However, the driver was always in control, and always knew what he was doing. We made it to Maya Chan at around 10:00.

We were welcomed by a very nice man, Dave, who gave us a quick ad thorough tour of the place. Once we were in our cabana, they came and took our order. Not even two minutes later, we had drinks in our hands. Service was almost instantaneous. When it came around to lunch time, they had an all you can eat taco bar. The tacos were very good.

Maya Chan has kayaks, paddle boards, floating chairs, and beach jenga, all included in the price you pay. I decided to go kayaking. It was very fun and relaxing.

They also offer massages, but those do cost extra. I decided that I would get a 30 minute massage instead of an hour. It was very relaxing, and it felt so good. I highly recommend it if you go to Maya Chan.

We got back on the ship at around 3:30. We decided that we were going to go relax in the Haven for a while before dinner. It gets really hot in the Haven sometimes, which can make it uncomfortable, but other than that it is really enjoyable.

For dinner, we went to the main dining room, Grand Pacific. It is a beautiful dining room facing aft. I ordered the Beef Sliders, a Caesar Salad, and Escargot for appetizers. It was all very good except that the beef sliders tasted a little bit burnt. For my entree, I got Mushroom Strogonoff and Spaghetti with Meatballs. I didn’t finish either of them. The sauce on the spaghetti didn’t taste good, and the meatballs were gross. The Mushroom Strogonoff was very good. I just couldn’t finish it because I was too full. However, I did manage to make some room for dessert. I ordered the Melting Chocolate Lava Cake and Apple Pie à la Mode. The cake was very good, but the pie was cold and didn’t have any flavor.

I chose not to go to the show tonight. The performer was Jerri Sager. She was a one person act with many talents. Some of the other people in my party went, and they said she was very talented.

Overall, the day was very relaxing. I loved Costa Maya. It was beautiful! I really hope that we get a chance to go back some time soon.
