Carnival Cruise Line announced a new Teppanyaki restaurant coming to their newest ship, Carnival Horizon, in Spring of 2018. The restaurant will be called Bonsai Teppanyaki, and will be located on the promenade deck in the Bonsai Sushi venue.
Bonsai Teppanyaki will feature an extensive menu with food from the Far East. Anyone who has ever been to a Teppanyaki restaurant knows that all the fun is in watching the talented chefs put on a show. The restaurant will feature two custom built tables that will seat eight. With only sixteen available seats, you’re definitely going to want to make reservations before your cruise if you plan to dine at Bonsai Teppanyaki.
Carnival Cruise Line’s president Christine Duffy made a statement saying, “Carnival is all about providing our guests with a wide array of choices, and that, of course, includes a seemingly endless array of delicious culinary options. The new Bonsai Teppanyaki promises to be a wonderful addition to the Carnival Horizon, offering delectable cuisine from the Far East enhanced by show-stopping performances by our talented and engaging chefs.”
Diners will have an option between five appetizers including Miso Soup, Yakitori with Sesame Asparagus Fries, Pork Belly, and Spicy Tuna on the Rocks with Onion Sesame Sauce and Den Miso. Main entrees will include Lobster Tail with Yuzu Cream and Citrus Kosho, Filet Mignon with Truffle Salt, Garlic Chips and Champagne Cognac Flambe, Black Cod with Soy Reduction, and many more. At the end of the meal, passengers will be given a Chocolate Bento Box with Green Tea Ice Cream.
Bonsai Teppanyaki will be open on the Horizon every night for dinner, and for lunch on sea days.
